“I was working for an international organisation in Myanmar. Suddenly, everything changed. I fled to Bangladesh and somehow got to connect with a BRAC staff working in the camps. I was determined to make a contribution. I joined the taskforce dedicated to developing and improving the curriculum for thousands of children who have lost their homes, just like me. I want to work to make sure that they have the chance to learn”
The work to develop teaching and learning materials began in October 2017, just months after the influx began. The materials were developed in accordance with the Learning Competency Framework Approach (LCFA) led by the education sector in Cox’s Bazar. Azizullah, a young Rohingya man, has been a crucial member in our curriculum taskforce.
